Great storry. Spot on I must say as a daily art car driver since the early 90's. Lets see first there was Gangway 4 God, made by the Portland Reveremds. Then my own Jeffrey Jerome Memorial Pig Car, followed by the Santa Claus car and my current ride dedicated to my favorite local roller derby team the Machete Betties. You are so correct in your statement about art cars encourage communication. Every day i get to talk, meet and visit with folks I might not have otherwise been given the chance without my art cars. If you ever make it to Houston, look me up and we can go for a spin and I will introduce you to the Houston Art Car Klub, the largest art car klub in the Nation.

A few years ago in the city I live in we created art cars, I still see many of them around. One I have not seen is the one I helped paint. It was very colorful, I was doing this with a summer arts program, we painted Keith Herring art, and graphity all over it.

Calling this "Art" is an insult to artist. If this gets deleted it only furthers my point.

The art car phenomenon is sweeping the planet...hopefully more art cars will be biofuel and solar powered. Fun stuff like art cars may well help people survive the coming depression...especially whne they have to sleep in their cars.
