Awesome! This is a lot of fun and I was a huge rocket fan when younger. This makes me want to take up the hobby again.

If it goes bang, boom, makes smoke, explodes, shoots or scares the pants off everyone for a mile in any direction, it gets my vote. Rockets....that's the ticket!!!

Way cool! I hope these guys come up with a cheap way for ordinary people to get into outer space one day.

This hobby is a BLAST!!!! (pun intended) I flew model rockets as a kid, but have now rediscovered the hobby as an adult and have become a B.A.R. (Born Again Rocketeer). I attended my first Tripoli Central California launch in August of last year and the second I saw one of the high-power rockets lift off, I leaned over to my son and told him I had to build us one of those. The rocketry bug had bitten. I flew my first "big" rocket at the November launch for my Level 1 certification, I then qualified Level 2 last month and now am considering how I am going to achieve my Level 3 cert (the higher your certification the bigger the motors you can buy). If you have ever had an interest in rocketry I highly encourage you to seek out a local club and attend one of their launches, but beware, if the rocketry bug bites you, it's all over...LOL!

A number of rocketeers are now launching rockets that they simply print from their computer printers. Rocket papercrafts are available that fly sometimes better than the store bought Estes models. You can download these models from the links on this site: the Rocketry Blogs Ultimate Paper Rocket Guide http://rocketry.wordpress.com/ultimate-paper-rocket-guide/

You guys are great! I was married to and friends with men who grew up loving model rockets and they ended up putting us in space! I'm glad to see the interest is still there.

Pyro rockets are great, but there is a cheaper alternative that is just as satisfying. - WATER ROCKETS. I've been hooked ever since we made our first a year ago, and hundreds of launches and dozens of rockets later we are now building a big two stage rocket with flight computers, parachutes, cameras etc. Shameless plug: http://www.AirCommandRockets.com :)
