Please get your facts straight before you write lyrics down about something. Bollywood dances did not come out of the region of Punjab, Bhangra is the form of dance that originated from there. Bollywood refers to popular Indian cinema which is largely produced in a city called Bombay/Mumbai. Bollywood movies are known for their dance numbers (which can incorporate a variety of dances from several regions of India) and musical nature but please make a distinction between Bhangra dance and over all Bollywood dances!!!

I agree with VC. The term Bollywood (India's movie capital) is a phrase that comes from Hollywood (Americas movie capital). Bollywood in this sense, means the Indian movie capital which is Bombay (or Mumbai). Bombay which is the financial capital of India, is located in the western state of Maharashtra and has nothing to do with punjab.. The opening lyrics "Straight outta Punjab" therefore are entirely incorrect.

aayeela...copy cat or wopy cat... but Straight outta Punjab A new tradition Bollywood film Dance troupe competition bull shit... bollywood did not come out of punjab..but punjabi movies came out of bollywood.. on another line of thought those four lines may also mean - Bollywood film Dance troupe competition is a new tradition that came out of Punjab....which too is so wrong...its just that who so ever worte those lyrics...wanted to give some rhyme .. of some sorts :))

I am 100 % American, born in the USA and all that. I think that this was great. I'm glad that the Indian culture can take the best of their culture, and mix it with ours, to give us a new form of dance to enjoy. I enjoyed it, my husband enjoyed it, and so did our daughters, who now want to learn it. Thank you for posting that video. Anyone who doesn't like it can just keep their negativity to themselves. This wasn't b.s. or copy cat stuff. Stop letting your prejudice show, the rest of us don't care to experience it.
