Who doesn't find the idea of an event named Large and Dangerous Rocket Ships intoxicating? The moment I heard it I was sold. I wouldn't have cared if the next thing I was told was that they hold it on a godforsaken dry lake bed in the middle of nowhere. Which is a good thing because that's the next thing I was told.
Turns out most big rocket events happen far from population centers (and when you think about it...). Check out the frigid launch we attended at the Mohave Desert's Lucerne Dry Lake Bed. Talk about remote. You'd think they'd at least have a Starbucks there by now. I mean, the Rocketry Organization of California hosts public launches there every month. What gives, rocket fuel behemoths?
At Maddox Dairy in California's San Joaquin Valley you can at least get cream for your coffee. Rocketeers there took us out in a pasture and shot off the biggest damn rocket you're allowed to shoot off in California. Of course it was nuts. So were the rocketeers we met there. (And I mean that in a good way.)
WE CAN'T GIVE YOU GLORY IF WE DON'T KNOW YOUR STORY...
Send us the goods... as in your own awesome pics and vids. They can relate to rocketry or be of your Aunt Myrtle's lawn mower racing and speed metal club, we don't care. Let your freak flag fly. We'll feature some of our favorite pics and vids of yours on Underground.

so, what's your story?

Got a bone to pick or a story to tell? (Hopefully the latter) Well, here's your soapbox. Take this opportunity to sound off or to bicker endlessly with other users over pointless minutia like true denizens of the internet. You're the man now dog.
